Singapore inflation rate hits 7.5 percent in April, new 26-year high
Singapore's annual inflation rate rose to a new 26-year high of 7.5 percent in April as food,
housing and transportation and communication costs soared, the government said Friday.
Food prices alone rose 8.5 percent, transportation and communication were 7.0 percent higher and housing costs became 11.8 percent more expensive, the statistics department said.
"External price pressures have continued to contribute significantly to our domestic headline inflation numbers," the trade ministry said in a separate statement.
"Oil and food prices have risen more rapidly and are expected to remain elevated over the near term."
Oil prices surged to unprecedented record peaks of more than 135 dollars a barrel on Thursday and analysts said it could still go higher.
The trade ministry and the Monetary Authority of Singapore have bumped up their forecast for inflation this year to 5-6 percent from 4.5-5.5 percent.
Tiny Singapore, Southeast Asia's most advanced economy, imports most of its needs because it lacks the natural resources and agricultural base of its much bigger neighbours.
Today, i am so free to post so much....so much things to do beside working ....haizzz
How i wish i got the cash power to stay not working .....:p

Haha....after nearly 30 yr then i decided goin to take my driving lesson....i think i am super busy man lol....:/
I remembered i juz watched the show Click :
A workaholic architect, who has been overlooking his family in favor of his career, comes across a universal remote that allows him to perform TiVo-like functions on his life, such as pausing events or fast-forwarding over them. When the remote begins creating its own memory and choosing what to fast-forward over, the man sees how much of his personal life has passed him by and realizes the importance of spending more time with his family.
Well, times flies alot and i had almost 30 yrs flew..Things are not always done in the end..
Bringing my family a trip to China is one of the tiny things to do hehe that i fulilled this year.
Promise something and do it....else u might regret not doing it after many many years to come by juz like the moive's Tree house not done even after 40yrs.......so sad .....

A very nice reminder to all...^^
Something to share
Isn't it amazing that George Carlin - comedian of the 70's and 80's - could write something so very eloquent...and so very appropriate.
A Message by George Carlin:
The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider
Freeways ,but narrower viewpoints. We spend more, but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less.
We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences, but less time. We have more
degrees but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts, yet more problems,
more medicine, but less wellness. We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly,
laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little,
watch TV too much, and pray too seldom. We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our
values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often. We've learned how to make a
living, but not a life. We've added years to life not life to years. We've been all the way to the
moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor. We conquered
outer space but not inner space. We've done larger things, but not better things. We've cleaned
up the air, but polluted the soul. We've conquered the atom, but not our prejudice. We write
more, but learn less. We plan more, but accomplish less. We've learned to rush, but not to wait.
We build more computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, but we
communicate less and less. These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion, big men and
small character, steep profits and shallow relationships. These are the days of two incomes but
more divorce, fancier houses, but broken homes. These are days of quick trips, disposable
diapers, throwaway morality, one night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything
from cheer, to quiet, to kill. It is a time when there is much in the showroom window and nothing
in the stockroom. A time when technology can bring this letter to you, and a time when you can
choose either to share this insight, or to just hit delete...
Remember; spend some time with your loved ones, because they are not going to be around forever.
Remember, say a kind word to someone who looks up to you in awe, because that little person soon will grow up and leave your side.
Remember, to give a warm hug to the one next to you, because that is the only treasure you can give with your heart and it doesn't cost a cent.
Remember, to say, 'I love you' to your partner and your loved ones, but most of all mean it.
A kiss and an embrace will mend hurt when it comes from deep inside of you.
Remember to hold hands and cherish the moment for someday that person will not be there again.
Give time to love, give time to speak! And give time to share the precious thoughts in your mind.
AND ALWAYS REMEMBER:Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

Who do you work for?
For my entire life, I never ever dream of asking this question. Well, for a starter i began to ask myself this..."why should i work so damm hard for the organization that i don't even want to stay ??", "Oh my God, another 15 hours shift ====15 hours of shits works!!"
Then i came about it that everybody has its own set of personal core values and i have mine too. Only that this organization had made me so stupidilty to be blind by its own set of core values.
I started to find out that when your personal core value need to stand side by side with the organzition's value, elsewise it will in turn to hinder your own personal improvement. And mine don't.
My Core values
1. Care for my family
2. Money (is alway important)
3. Happiness
You don't need tonnes of core values to uphold yourself to stand in pride and out shine others.
Be yourself and know what you really want for your life.....:)
